Demarr Woods (MM 2009, GPD 2011 Trumpet) received University of Arkansas, Pine Bluff’s Chancellor’s Distinguished Teaching Award. The Assistant Professor of Trumpet was given the award on the criteria that he demonstrated extensive knowledge and mastery of the subject matter; innovation in course and curriculum design; ability to inspire and mentor students through independent and creative thinking; and working work that enriches the scholarship of teaching and learning.
