Hopkins Symphony Orchestra’s Concert Orchestra, led by current DMA student in conducting, Blair Skinner, begins their 2016-2017 season with a series of concerts free to the public. The second concert takes place on November 13th at 3:00 pm at the Bunting-Meyerhoff Interfaith Center across from JHU campus. The concert includes the world premiere of a piece by Peabody alumni Joshua Bornfield (MM ’13, Composition) , Ralph Vaughan Williams’ Concerto for Oboe and Strings and Shotakovich’s Chamber Symphony. Among HSO’s artists, will include Peabody alumni and current Program Director of WBJC 91.5, Jonathan Palevsky (MM ’86, Guitar).
