Daniel Sabzghabaei Wins National Composer Award at Polyphonos

Daniel Sabzghabaei, second year masters composition student studying with Kevin Puts, won the national composer award at Esoterics‘ 2016-2017 choral composition competition, Polyphonos. Sabzghabaei will receive a $1000 commission for a 5-minute new work that will premier at the Polyphonos Concert in October 2017.

PSO Selected as Semi-Finalist for the American Prize Ensemble Division 2016

Peabody Symphony Orchestra has been selected as a semi-finalist for The American Prize/Ensembles division 2016 for their performance of Mahler’s Symphony No. 9, under the direction of Teri Murai. As a semi-finalist, The Peabody Symphony Orchestra will be considered for a position as a finalist, runner-up, or winner for the American Prize/Ensemble division 2016.
