Meng-Sheng Shen, a DMA candidate studying piano with Boris Slutsky, was awarded fourth prize in the Hastings International Piano Concerto Competition. On March 4, he performed Beethoven’s Emperor Concerto with the London Royal Philharmonic Orchestra under Maestro Timothy Henty at the White Rock Theatre in Hastings, UK. The competition included 150 competitors from 29 different countries, and the award includes a cash prize and concert tour in the UK.
