Rayna Slavova (MM ’13, Vocal Accompanying) has won the Irving Shain Competition for Woodwind-Piano Duos at the University of Wisconsin, where she is a second-year, full scholarship doctoral student in collaborative piano. Ms. Slavova performed selections by Schumann, Gabriel Pierne, Eugene Bourdeau, and Charles Koechlin at the culminating Winner’s Recital at University of Wisconsin’s Morphy Recital Hall on March 11.
