Jacques-Pierre Malan (GPD ’12, MM ’16, Cello; GPD ’13, Chamber Music) together with Jonathan Carney, Concertmaster of the BSO; Lisa Steltenpohl, principal violist BSO; and Wyatt Underhill, Assistant Concertmaster BSO will perform a new work by Peabody composition master’s candidate Samuel Saunders. Brightmoor is a string quartet paired with a piano piece that will be presented on Tuesday, February 27 at 7:00 pm, at An Die Musik Live in Baltimore. The quartet draws on themes that the composer developed while living in an abandoned house in Detroit, Mich.
