Peabody Alumni and Students Raise Gun Violence Awareness in Concert

Peabody students and alumni were involved in a concert at First and Franklin Presbyterian Church in Baltimore that honored the lives lost to gun violence in Baltimore and uplifted the work of BUILD. The concert was a part of the Spire Series, and took place on Sunday, March 24 at 2:30 pm. Jason Kissel (DMA ’07, Organ), Meredith Piplani  (MM ’17, Voice), Nick Dogas (MM ’13, Voice), Robert Cantrell (MM ’90, GPD ’92, Voice), and current Peabody students Lisa McNulty, voice; Rahzé Cheatham, voice; and Jeremy Earnest, composition, were all involved, performing Gabriel Faure’s Requiem, spirituals, and other works tied to the theme. Proceeds from the concert benefited BUILD’s program Turnaround Tuesday.
