Mary Trotter (MM ’13, Vocal Accompanying) performed Schumann’s Dichterliebe with the Minneapolis-based vocal group Cantus in July. A review by the Twin Cities Pioneer Press states: “Yet ‘Dichterliebe’ isn’t just a showcase for singers, but for a pianist, as well, and Mary Trotter proved an ideal guide on the 16-song emotional journey, laying out the terrain expertly, whether a desolate desert of loss or a blossoming garden of delight in love.”
