Undergraduate vocal studies student Kevin Paton-Cole presented his paper “The Suppression of Folk Music in the 20th Century: The Case for Music from the African Diaspora” at the 25th annual conference of the Midwest Graduate Music Consortium, held virtually by the Society of Music Research at the University of Michigan.
