Kate Amrine (MM ’17, Trumpet) recently co-founded a new non-profit organization, Brass Out Loud, dedicated to inspiring and uplifting brass players everywhere. Through its yearly workshop, BOLD Chats, and panel discussions, inclusive faculty and staff at Brass Out Loud offer a new perspective on what it means to be a musician today. The second annual workshop is January 7 through 9 with events from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm EST on Zoom and will feature performance master classes led by tuba faculty artist Velvet Brown and Richard Antoine White (BM ’96, Tuba).
