The Peabody Post noted back in September, when faculty composer Oscar Bettison first received word of his commission, that he’d be receiving one of the 2022 commissions. Now the full slate of 2022 Serge Koussevitzky Music Foundation commissions were announced, and they include Bettison’s new work for loadbang along with Amy Beth Kirsten (DMA ’10, Composition) composing for Sandbox Percussion (Jonathan Allen; Victor Caccese (BM ’11, Percussion), Terry Sweeney (BM ’13, Percussion), Ian Rosenbaum (BM ’08, Percussion).
