The Peabody Consort, directed by Mark Cudek (MM ’82, Lute) and featuring alumni from the Historical Performance Department opened the Indianapolis Early Music Festival and received a glowing review. Later in the festival, Musica Spira, co-directed by Music theory assistant professor and harpsichordist Paula Maust (MM ’16, DMA ’19, Harpsichord) and soprano Grace Srinivasan (MM ’16, Voice), featured Julie Bosworth (MM ’14, Early Music Voice) plus recorder players Sarah Shodja and Teresa Deskur (BM ’22, Horn) for a special performance called “An Extraordinary Innovation: Virtuosic Women in the Italian Courts.”
