Steven Crino’s (MM ’18, Composition) new chamber opera, Six Autumns on the Hudson, will be performed as a concert reading this fall in Philadelphia. The opera follows Susie M. Barstow and Edith Wilkinson Cook, two very different painters of the Hudson school – and fast friends – as they embark on a canoe trip to Pollopel (soon to be Bannerman) Island every Autumn from 1858 to 1902. Tickets are available now for each of three performances on September 29, 30, and October 1.
