Recorded in July 2022, Bernstein protégé Marin Alsop conducts the Chicago Symphony Orchestra in a performance of Bernstein’s “Kaddish” Symphony at the Ravinia Festival for the PBS Great Performances series. The work includes music and spoken narrative segments voiced by narrator Jaye Ladymore and sung by soprano soloist Janai Brugger, and features the Chicago Children’s Choir. The recording premiered on August 21, 2023 on PBS, and is now available online.
