Composition DMA candidate Soyoona Kim reached the finals in the Empower Your Pitch research competition for doctoral students at Johns Hopkins which challenges students to develop a three-minute or less research presentation for a general audience. Kim was partnered with Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Performing Arts and Health Raluca Matei for her composition project Walk like a wild animal, which is aimed at raising awareness of catcalling/street harassment.
