Layan Atieh (BM ’22, Horn)—who served as a 2024 fellow at the Music Academy of the West, taking part in the June 18 through July 23 masterclasses as well as performances on June 27 and July 11—was named a core artist of Seraph Brass, the ensemble of women brass players that trumpeter Mary Elizabeth Bowden founded a decade ago.
