Background of a dark night sky with one bright star with the words 'Black Nativity' overAndréus Brijbasi (BM ’24, Computer Music) joins the music and media team for ArtsCentric and Baltimore Center Stage’s production of Langston Hughes’ Black Nativity, from November 30 through December 22. The show will feature original music by Cedric D. Lyles, ArtsCentric’s resident music director. As a member of the music and media team, Brijbasi manages music and media production for rehearsals, is the coordinator for the Black Nativity recording project, and is one of the show’s audio engineers. The work Brijbasi brings to this team contributes to the quality and professionalism of the musical experience. This is Brijbasi’s third project with ArtsCentric (previous projects: Rent 2022, The Scottsboro Boys 2024). Black Nativity is a retelling of the Nativity story through the African American experience as a musical-theatre work.
