Baltimore composer Alexandra Gardner (MM ’97, Composition) composed a new saxophone concerto inspired by the James Webb Space Telescope. The premiere took place at Guilford High School on Sunday, September 29 at 3:00 pm and at Glenelg High School on Tuesday, October 1 at 7:30 pm. Tim Holtan conducted Assistant Professor of saxophone Doug O’Connor and the Maryland Winds.
