Tommy Dupuis Awarded Revelation of the Year 2025-26

Tommy Dupuis HeadshotTommy Dupuis (GPD ’25, Guitar) was awarded Revelation of the Year 2025-26 by The Vanadian Broadcast Channel. Every year, they give the award of “Revelation of the Year” to only one classical musician in Canada and this year, it was awarded to Dupuis. In January, he will get to perform in famous Canadian halls such as the Théâtre Outremont, play on major national radio shows, as well as TV shows, and his latest album will frequently be played on national radio.

He is studying with a full scholarship for a Graduate Performance Diploma at The Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University with the guitar legend Manuel Barrueco to prepare for the recording of his very first album. Hia distinctions are impressive, with prizes such as the Canadian Music Competition’s Coup de cœur in 2020, and several scholarships and prizes obtained throughout her studies. His talent has been recognized at several renowned festivals, both in Canada and internationally, and he has had the opportunity to perform on stages such as the Maurice-O’Bready Hall in Sherbrooke and the Bradshaw Amphitheatre in Toronto. In chamber music, Tommy collaborated with soprano Carole-Anne Roussel in July 2022 and joined the Barrueco Studio Ensemble. During the 2024-2025 season, Tommy is participating in the 2024-2025 Jeunesses Musicales Canada Relève Tour. He has also just released his first album, which includes a toccata by Quebec composer Vincent Pollender.
