Evan Fiehrer’s (MM ‘15, Guitar) debut album, “A Little Light” recorded with his band The Groove Essentials released on October 24, 2025. The album is part of an Artist Opportunity Grant project provided by Culture Works Dayton. A celebration of the funk music tradition of Dayton, OH, the album features tracks inspired particularly by bands from the Midwest during the heyday of funk music in the 1970s. The album features Evan Fiehrer on guitar, Hayden Floro on drums, Tory James on vocals, James Roberts on keyboard, and Jelani Stokes on bass guitar.
