Zane Forshee and Layan Atieh Receive Hopkins Artistic Lens Awards

Faculty aristst Zane Forshee (MM ’01, GPD ’03, DMA ’11, Guitar) and Layan Atieh (BM ’22, Horn) won Artistic Lens Awards, part of the Johns Hopkins Sesquicentennial Awards Program recognizing exceptional projects that reflect the university’s legacy of discovery while looking boldly toward the future. This award supports ideas that engage the Hopkins community with artistic and creative offerings exploring the university’s past, present, and future. The projects of Forshee (Breaking Counterpoint: Reimagining Artistic Inquiry at Johns Hopkins) and Atieh (Veritas vos Liberabit: Music Written, Performed, and Recorded by Peabody Alumni) each receive up to $15,000.
