Maracaípe by Sergio Assad has been nominated for a Latin GRAMMY as the Best Classical Contemporary Composition. The work was written for and dedicated to the Beijing Guitar Duo (GPD candidates Meng Su and Yameng Wang), recorded on their CD with the same name, and released on Tonar Music. The 11th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards will be on Nov. 11 and broadcast live on the Univision Network from 8:00 pm.
