Amy Beth Kirsten (DMA ’10) was awarded a 12-month Guggenheim Fellowship and a Levy Supplemental Stipend for music composition. Kirsten will compose a large work for the Grammy-winning ensemble eighth blackbird. Appointed on the basis of prior achievement and exceptional promise, the 180 successful candidates were chosen from a group of 3,000 applicants.
