Mary Reed (BM â10, Double Bass) is the first winner of the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra-USC Thornton Strings Mentorship Program, which offers mock orchestral auditioners a chance to perform with the orchestra. Reed performed two concerts with the LACO in April and has been hired as a substitute musician for the rehearsal-performance period.
