Lam wins Memphis International Conducting Competition

Ken Lam (MM ’08) won the Memphis International Conducting Competition. Lam took home a cash prize and will have the opportunity to conduct the Memphis Symphony Orchestra in a concert next October. Ten contestants were selected from 236 applications representing 35 countries and 30 states in the U.S. The competition included three rounds over two days. Lam, a native of Hong Kong, is assistant conductor of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra.
