Cellist Javier Iglesias Martin, a sophomore studying with Amit Peled, placed third in the Mary Graham Lasley Scholarship Competition, which was held on Mar. 25, at the Alexandria campus of Northern Virginia Community College. He played the first movement of Schumann’s Cello concerto in A minor, Op. 129.
