Graduate Performance Diploma candidate Maria Victoria Pedrero, a cello student of Amit Peled, was awarded first prize in the American Fine Arts Festival (AFAF) Golden Strings of America International String Competition. She performed a solo recital debut in Carnegie Hall’s Weill Hall on Nov. 4 and received scholarship funds towards participation in the AFAF Summer Music Courses in Europe 2013 as the prizes.
