Markand Thakar’s Book Published in Czech

Co-director of Peabody’s Conducting program Markand Thakar’s book Counterpoint: Fundamentals of Music Making was recently published in Czech as Kontrapunkt. Základy hudební interpretace. The book was first issued in English as by Yale University Press in 1990. Thakar also conducted concerts with the Chicago College of Performing Arts Orchestra (Roosevelt University) in Chicago’s Orchestra Hall on Jan. 29 and 30.
