Pervinca Rista (BA ’08, Romance Languages; MM ’09, GPD ’10, Violin), currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree and a PhD in Comparative Literature, will perform Beethoven’s Violin Concerto in D Major, op. 61 with the Hopkins Symphony Orchestra on March 9 and 10. She is the first double doctoral candidate in Johns Hopkins University history. Rista is also currently completing a violin diploma from the State Conservatory in Italy.
