A new opera by faculty member Michael Hersch (BM ’95, MM ’97, Composition), On the Threshold of Winter, will premiere on June 25 at the Brooklyn Academy of Music (Fishman Space). Soprano and faculty artist Ah Young Hong (BM ’98, MM ’01, Voice) will perform the new two-hour work for one singer with the Nunc new music ensemble. Former director of the Opera Department Roger Brunyate will direct.
