Joshua Walden’s book noted by Chronicle of Higher Education

Musicology faculty member Joshua Walden’s book, Sounding Authentic: The Rural Miniature and Musical Modernism was noted in the Chronicle of Higher Education’s “Weekly Book List, February 14, 2013.”  The book discusses a genre of 20th-century art music comprising short pieces for violin and piano that most often drew inspiration from Spanish, Jewish, and East and East-Central European folk melodies.
