The Russian Trio- GPD student Nikita Borisevich, violin; Dmitri Volkov (AD ’13, Cello), cello; and Katherine Rick Harris (MM ’11, Piano), piano- won first prize in the Yellow Springs Chamber Music Competition. The ensemble adds this prize to the silver medal they received at the 2012 Chesapeake International Chamber Music Competition, and first prize in the strings division of the Coleman Chamber Music Competition (Los Angeles, CA), receiving the Coleman-Barstow Prize.
