Patricia Goodson (MM ’80, Piano) released the first-ever recording of the complete solo piano works of Czech composer Josef Bohuslav Foerster (1859-1951). The album is a four CD set on the Brilliant Classics label. Goodson also performed and recorded Geraldine Mucha’s Piano Concerto with the Hradec Králové Philharmonic. This year, Goodson performed with the Stamic Quartet, soprano Irena Troupová, and toured the US with cellist Petr Nouzovský. Gillian Whitehead is currently composing a piece to be premiered in December by Goodson, oboist Vilem Veverka, and the Stamic Quartet. Goodson teaches at NYU’s Semester Abroad program in Prague, and manages Geraldine Mucha’s archive.
