Judah Adashi and Lavena Johanson present new music in San Francisco

Judah Adashi and Lavena JohansonComposition and Music Theory faculty member Judah Adashi (MM ’02, DMA ’11, Composition) and cellist Lavena Johanson (MM ’13, Cello) have been invited to present at the inaugural New Music Gathering in San Francisco, January 15-17, 2015. Johanson will perform Caroline Shaw’s in manus tuas for unaccompanied cello and Adashi’s my heart comes undone for cello and loop pedal; Adashi will speak about presenting new music. Headlining artists include flutist Claire Chase (International Contemporary Ensemble), pianist Sarah Cahill, and the Kronos Quartet.
