Voice faculty artist William Sharp, baritone, will perform works by Charles Ives with Steven Mayer, piano, and the Georgetown University Orchestra conducted by Angel Gil-Ordóñez in “Charles Ives’s America,” a program produced by PostClassical Ensemble. Part one on Friday, November 20 at 1:15 pm, “Charles Ives: A Life in Music,” features Ives’s songs and piano works at Georgetown University’s McNeir Hall. Part two on Sunday, November 22 at 5 pm features the Concord Piano Sonata with readings from Emerson and Thoreau, Stephen Foster’s Camptow Races and other songs, and Ives’s Symphony No. 2 at Georgetown University’s Gaston Hall.
