Creative Leadership Immersion Class to Perform for Creative Connections at the Meyerhoff

68Peabody’s Creative Leadership Immersion Class, taught by Dan Trahey and Jill Collier Warne, will perform as part of Creative Connections at Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall on Friday, March 18 at 12:30 pm. Students from the class will work with over 125 Baltimore City Public School System students from six different schools for a week before the concert to help sculpt a large-scale 50-minute piece of music. This year’s partners include the Johns Hopkins University East Baltimore Development Initiative, the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, OrchKids, City Neighbors High School, Alexandria City Public Schools, Ravinia, Enriching Lives Through Music, Arts Every Day, and Baltimore City Public School System. This year’s themes center around Wes Moore’s book, “The Other Wes Moore” and will concentrate on environment, family, social gaps, and giant leaps.
