Jake Runestad Receives 2016 ASCAP Foundation Morton Gould Young Composer Award

Artist-4157191-JakeRunestadHeadshot2Jake Runestad (MM ’11, Composition) is the winner of a 2016 ASCAP Foundation Morton Gould Young Composer Award for his extended choral and orchestral work “Dreams of the Fallen.” Mr. Runestad was selected from a pool of over 700 applicants. In addition to receiving cash awards, the winning composers will be recognized at the national ASCAP Concert Music Awards event in September. The ASCAP Foundation Young Composer Award program grants cash prizes to Concert Music composers up to 30 years of age whose works are selected through a juried national competition.
