On Saturday, May 21 at 7:30 pm at the Baltimore War Memorial, mezzo-soprano Claire Galloway Weber (MM ’15, Voice) will present “God as she makes this earth,” a concert that explores the role of the female voice and casts new light on the idea of God as a woman. The concert will feature song cycles by Sean Doyle (Peabody D.M.A. 2015) and Robert Schumann, as well as the premiere of a new work by Frances Pollock (MM ’15, Voice). The ensemble performing Ms. Pollock’s piece will be conducted by Peabody doctoral candidate and Baltimore Symphony Orchestra fellow Michael Repper. A short clip of Ms. Pollock’s piece is available here.
