Leela Breithaupt Has Received an Indiana Arts Commission 2017 Arts in the Parks and Historic Sites Grant Award

49734b_53b80c62b3704b3e431a5ad0a0303481_srz_923_1120_85_22_0-50_1-20_0Leela Breithaupt (BM ’93, MM ’96, Flute) has received an Indiana Arts Commission 2017 Arts in the Parks and Historic Sites grant award for concerts with her trio, Les Ordinaires. The funded project, A Royal Occasion, includes performances at two of Indiana’s historic mansions in May, as well as outreach workshops to local colleges, and will be part of their 2016-17 season celebrating 17th and 18th century music in historic houses. This grant is made possible through the support of the Indiana General Assembly, Indiana Arts Trust, and the National Endowment for the Arts. Ms. Breithaupt’s upcoming concerts include New York Baroque at Carnegie Hall, Bourbon Baroque in NYC, as well as concerts in Cincinnati, Charlotte, Indianapolis, and Ball State University. Ms. Breithaupt will make her first alumni appearance at Peabody with Barthold Kuijken on March 14, 2017.
