Judah Adashi’s “For Martin” Premiered by Yale Whiffenpoofs

adashiOn Saturday, March 4 at 4:00pm, at Baltimore’s First and Franklin Presbyterian Church (210 W. Madison Street), composition department faculty member Judah Adashi (MM ’02, DMA ’11, Composition) will have a new work premiered by the Yale Whiffenpoofs, the oldest collegiate a cappella group in the country. Dr. Adashi is an alumnus of the group, currently directed by one of his former Preparatory composition students, Solon Snider. Dr. Adashi’s new composition, entitled For Martin, sets a Martin Luther King, Jr.-inspired text by Keith Snipes, a Baltimore-based actor, narrator, and writer. Tickets are available here.
