Today, Wednesday, March 8, Director of the Graduate Conducting Program Marin Alsop and Valentina Peleggi will conduct the São Paulo Symphony Orchestra in a special live-streamed concert from São Paulo in celebration of International Women’s Day 2017. The first half of the concert will feature the works of three female composers, including Maddalena Casulana, Roxanna Panufnik, and Lili Boulanger, and features the OSESP choirs under the direction of Ms. Peleggi. In the second half of the concert, Ms. Alsop will conduct OSESP in Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, featuring the OSESP choirs, Coral Lyrical Paulista, and soloists Camila Titinger, Paulo Mandarino, Luisa Francesconi and Leonardo Neiva.
