Sandbox Percussion– Victor Caccese (BM ’11, Percussion), Terry Sweeney (BM ’13, Percussion), and Ian Rosenbaum (BM ’08, Percussion), and Jonathan Allen- will return to Sō Percussion’s Brooklyn Bound series on Thursday, March 30, at 8:00 pm to perform recent commissions and self-composed new works. Mr. Rosenbaum and Andy Akiho will curate the second annual National Sawdust Percussion Festival, a day-long showcase of contemporary music’s leaders and innovators from all over the world, on April 1. The festival concert will feature percussionist luminaries including Joe Locke performing a solo set on vibraphone and drummer Will Calhoun of the band Living Colour performing a new project inspired by African drumming.
