Christopher Hamlen (BM ’04, GPD ’06, Double Bass) has joined the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. He and several other new members made their debuts September 28 at the Seventh Annual DTE Energy Foundation Community Concerts, which also opened the DSO’s 2017-18 season. Most recently, Hamlen was the principal bass at the Grand Rapids Symphony.
