Murry Sidlin and Herbert Greenberg to Participate in Concert

Murry Sidlin (BM ’62, Music Education; MM ’68, Instrumental Conducting) and faculty artist Herbert Greenberg will participate in a concert, Hours of Freedom: The Story of the Terezín Composer. This concert will highlight works by composers that were held in the Theresienstadt (Terezín) concentration camp, and it will combine their music with video and narrative to portray what their lives were like. Some composers included in the evening are Viktor Ullmann, Gideon Klein, Zigmund Schul, Pavel Haas, Rudolf Karel, and others. It will be presented as part of the 19th Washington Jewish Music Festival, and will occur on Saturday, November 4 at 8:00 pm.
