Helen Callus Named Professor of Viola at Northwestern University

Helen Callus (GPD ’94, Viola) was recently named professor of viola at Northwestern University’s Bienen School of Music. She has also written a book on viola technique, published by Carl Fischer, as well as numerous articles for the Strad and Strings magazines. Callus has also been invited to write for the Violin Channel. She has given numerous master classes on professionalism in the music world, and she includes her research on the brain and psychology in music within her teaching. She has also released eight award-winning CDs.
