Faculty artist Michael Hersch (BM ’95, MM ’97, Composition) had the Chicago premiere of his opera, On the Threshold of Winter, on January 18 and 20. Chicago-based Ensemble Dal Niente hosted guest soprano, Ah Young Hong (BM ’98, MM ’01, Voice), who originated the leading role. The performance was reviewed in the Chicago Tribune and the Chicago Classical Review.
