Preparatory Vocalists Succeed in Competitions

At the Maryland/D.C. Chapter of the National Association of Teachers of Singing auditions on February 24, Katelyn Cherry and Laura Stanell each won their High School division, Elisabeth Stevens and Kristen Davenport placed first and second in the youth category, and Barrett Crawford and Christiane Scott were also passed through to Regionals after achieving a score above 90. Additionally, Autumn de Cosmo and Grace Null sang for Baltimore County Solo and Ensemble Festival and were passed through to the State level with the highest score of one. Earlier in the month, Emily Oberuch received a one in the Howard County Solo and Ensemble auditions and is also eligible to move on to the State competition. Congratulations to these hardworking students and their teachers Carol Cavey-Miles, Madeleine Gray, and Alina Kozinska.
