Peabody alumni and a current student have been selected to participate in the American Composers Orchestra programs. Scott Lee (MM ‘ 13, Composition) will participate in the 27th annual Underwood New Music Readings, which will take place June 21 and 22. At this reading, Lee will polish and receive a recording of his piece Anadyr. Carlos Bandera (MM ’17, Composition) will also participate in Underwood, with his piece Lux in Tenebris. Master’s candidate Nicholas Bentz (BM ’17, Composition, Violin) will participate in the 2018 EarShot New Music Readings, a partner of the American Composers Orchestra. Through EarShot, Benz will receive private readings, feedback, and mentorship, and he will be paired with the Jacksonville Symphony. His piece, E.W. Korngold Goes to Kikkatsu, will be premiered by the symphony on Friday, April 20.
