Daniel Moody Wins Awards and Has Upcoming Debuts

daniel moodyCountertenor Daniel Moody (BM ’14, Voice) was named a Regional Finalist in the Rocky Mountain Region in the Metropolitan National Council Auditions in January. In February, he won a $5,000 George London Award from the George London Foundation. Moody also has numerous upcoming engagements. This summer, he will make his debut with Cincinnati Opera in L’incoronazione di Poppea. He will sing Valetto for four performances and Nerone, the lead role, for one. In December, he will sing Handel’s Messiah with Apollo’s Fire, Cleveland’s Baroque Orchestra. He will also make his Carnegie Hall debut, singing the same piece with the Oratorio Society of New York under the direction of Kent Tritle. His schedule continues into 2019 with Moody performing Chichester Psalms with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and a concert of arias and duets with Anne Sofie von Otter and the Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra.
