Danielle Buonaiuto (MM ’12, Voice) will make her company debut at Center for Contemporary Opera in To Be Sung, a one act opera by Pascal Dusapin and libretto by Gertrude Stein, on May 17 at 8:00 pm and May 19 at 8:00 pm in Brooklyn, N.Y. This summer, she will return to the Oregon Bach Festival before travelling to Avaloch Farm, where she will develop her album and tour project as a part of the REXDuo. The project, O Sea-Starved, Hungry Sea, will be released later this year or early next year, and incorporates other Peabody alums Natalie Draper (DMA ’17, Composition), Douglas Buchanan (MM ’08, Composition, Music Theory Pedagogy; DMA ’13, Composition), James Young (DMA ’14, Composition), and John Wilson (BM ’10, MM ’12, GPD ’14, Piano). She will also continue in her recently appointed roles as Executive Director of Musica Viva NY and as Director of Development and Marketing of New York City Master Chorale.
